Here are the directions from the Carmel Mission to the Holman Ranch.:

Head Southeast on Rio Rd. toward Ladera Dr.

Turn Left onto Ca-1/Cabrillo Hwy

Turn Right onto Carmel Valley Road (12.3 miles)

Take a slight left onto Holman Road

Holman Ranch will be at the very end of Holman Road, about .5 mile.

Carpooling

Save the Dates

Save the Dates are stamped, licked, and in the mail...FINALLY! You should be receiving them in the mail shortly. I realize wedding planning should be the #1 priority...but sometimes life (work) gets in the way. Anyways....they are on their way! There will be more information on hotels coming shortly...I PROMISE!

Kam and I have been busy (not) doing Save the Dates, registering for gifts (at Target, Williams-Sonoma, and Macys), and procrastinating! =)

Kamaron and I have recently successfully graduated from college... and you know what that means: back to wedding planning! On January 7th we will be taking our engagement pictures with Scott Campbell. They are long overdue. Once we get those done we can send out our STD's (Save the Dates).

Over Thanksgiving we also picked out our caterer for the wedding! We will be working with Paradise Catering. We are really looking forward to what they will prepare. Everything that they make is quite possibly the freshest food that you will ever have!

I also chose my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses! The bridesmaid dresses are beautiful! They will be in the claret color... which is similar to a raspberry. The dresses are by a designer called After Six. As I stated earlier, I also got my wedding dress. However, I don't think Kam even looks at this blog, but I'll hold onto those details until the wedding ; )

We have also started moving into our house that we will be renting in Carmel Valley. We are very excited about all of the new developments in the wedding plans and look forward to July 3, 2010! Any suggestions on honeymoon destinations??

On August 12, Kamaron and I booked our photographer for our wedding. We chose Scott Campbell Photography! We are very excited because his pictures are amazing! The photographs are timeless and will definitely be cherished forever. We can't wait to work with him and to see the finished product! On Wednesday, we also purchased our wedding bands! They are absolutely perfect; exactly what we were looking for. We are slowly, but surely, making some progress on our wedding plans and we are very excited about how it is unfolding!

Reception Venue

We have officially booked the Holman Ranch for our wedding reception! The venue is b-e-a-utiful! We are so excited and with less than 11 months to go it is a relief to have a couple of the big things done and booked. We are meeting with a potential photographer tomorrow, so hopefully that goes well. Summer has flown by quickly...we are back to Arizona on Thursday and start classes again within the following week or so. We have our last semester of school, then graduation, then the wedding, then....who knows haha.

Wedding Colors

So, I have been desperately looking for colors for our

wedding and was having a difficult time

finding something that I liked that would go well with the venue.

Then... I checked my e-mail the other day and BAM! theknot.com

had sent me an e-mail about "wedding color combinations."

Venues

We're back!!!! Time sure does fly... I can't believe I haven't posted in over 2 months. Currently, we're looking for a venue for the wedding. This Sunday we are going into Carmel Valley to look at the Holman Ranch. It's located right off of Carmel Valley Road. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think. I've been so busy with work that all of the wedding stuff was kind of put on the back burner for a little bit, but we're back to planning now. We'll let everyone know where the wedding will be taking place as soon as we book the venue. We just found out that in addition to it being 4th of July weekend, the Moto GP will also be in town that weekend. Needless to say it will be a packed Monterey Bay.

Is it summer yet?

We have about a week left in the semester which is wonderful news because that means that summer is here! (Although in Arizona it feels like it is already summer). I am excited to get back to California, back to work, and to begin working on the wedding!! We are currently looking at some different options for the venue for the reception. We ran into some difficulties with the number of guests and capacity...so we're keeping our options open for now. We've gotten some quotes on different photographers also. So, we've been slowly getting our feet wet in this whole planning process.

So far it has been both fun and stessful. I have wonderful friends that have offered to help with different parts and have listened to my complaining. I look forward to the rest of the journey!

We are anxiously planning our wedding! Currently we are looking at the Carmel Mission as our site for the ceremony and the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa as our location for the reception. Our estimated date of marriage will be May 2010. We look forward to all of the ups and downs and being able to share our special day with you!
